Setting Chrome Permissions to Allow Course Pages to Access Your Camera
Last Updated 23 days ago

First, make sure that there is not a manual slide cover on your laptop/webcam that is covering the camera lens. Many laptops/webcams now have a small manual slide built in that can be used to cover the lens.

Second, make sure you are using the Google Chrome browser and not an inferior browser such as Safari or Edge that do not work well with the latest web protocols.

Third, make sure to allow camera settings for the site. To do that on Chrome use the steps below, The site will use its settings instead of the browser default settings.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. Go to the Course Pages site.
  3. To the left of the web address, select View site information Default (Secure).
  4. If there is a toggle switch for camera make sure it is toggled to on (slide right).
  5. Then Select Site settings.
  6. Under the Site Settings options choose the dropdown menu beside Camera and make sure to choose Allow

That should be all you need to do to get your Camera working. However, you may have to initially restart the Chrome browser for the changes to take affect on the site.
